Elowinz was founded in 2012 by Diogo Gouvea and Tomas Vezzali. Since 2015, Diogo has taken the reins, shaping the project with a distinctive sound that reflects his deep engagement with psychedelic music across various genres.
Diogo’s musical roots lie in São Paulo’s Hardcore and Punk underground, where he played and performed with several bands. These influences instilled a raw energy and intensity that remain central to his productions today. Since 2005, he has dedicated himself to creating psychedelic music, often venturing into experimental territories to push the boundaries of sound.
With the creation of Elowinz in 2012, Diogo’s focus shifted to crafting hypnotic, experimental soundscapes. His music blends intricate percussion with rich layers of synthesis, guiding dancers into a trance-like state. His deep exploration of psychedelic genres allows him to fuse diverse influences, creating tracks that are both innovative and deeply immersive.
In 2016, he released his debut EP, Sananga, which showcased his ability to combine experimental elements with driving rhythms, crafting an atmosphere that is both powerful and nuanced. His second EP, Granjurema, followed in 2019, further refining his style and cementing his place as a unique voice in the Psytrance scene.
