For over 20 years, Sutemi has been a cornerstone of the electronic music scene. His journey began in 2001 with vinyl and a passion for Techno. But when he first encountered Psytrance culture – its vibe and its music – it was a transformative moment. The deep, psychedelic sounds and the unique energy of the scene captivated him so completely that he shifted his focus entirely to this remarkable genre. As one of Brazil’s pioneers in Psytrance, he played a crucial role in spreading and shaping the sound in his country.
Sutemi’s DJ sets are like a surprise box: once opened, they reveal a psychedelic story filled with careful research and diverse sounds. With his music, he captivates the dancefloor, creating strong energy and a powerful sense of trance. Each performance is unique, as he adapts his sets to the moment and tailors them to the situation.
Throughout his career, Sutemi has released two compilations – the first on Tremors Underground and the second on Forestdelic Records. But his passion for music extends beyond DJing: he has served as an artistic curator for numerous festivals across Brazil, “planting sonic seeds” that continue to grow and thrive.
Today, Sutemi focuses on his agency, Warm Bookings, which represents the culmination of his years of dedication and connection to the scene. With his vision and commitment, he has been a vital force in the development of Psytrance in Brazil and remains an integral part of the global Psytrance community.
