Behind Third Eye of Monkey is Daniel Neria, an artist based in Mexico City. His musical journey began in the early 2000s when he fell in love with Goa trance. With passion and dedication, Daniel started experimenting with music production in the summer of 2009, paving the way for his unique sound.
In 2013, Daniel experienced a series of unusual dreams. These visions featured mythological, alien, and otherworldly landscapes and beings. In the final dream, the name Third Eye of Monkey appeared – sparking the creation of a project that has since gained worldwide recognition. Following this revelation, Daniel released numerous V.A. compilations and EPs on both established and emerging labels around the globe.
Third Eye of Monkey’s music is an ever-evolving journey – full of surprises and constantly exploring uncharted territories. Deeply inspired by his indigenous roots, Daniel meticulously crafts each sound, blending dynamic basslines, immersive soundscapes, ancient Aztec and Mayan instruments, and otherworldly sound effects.
Each track is a unique tale. With great attention to detail, Daniel creates sonic realms that transport the audience into a trance-like state – echoing the dances of our ancestors but with a modern twist.
