Weirdos is a duo project formed by Italian music producers Aztec Dosage and Leso. Long-time friends, they grew up in the same area and have always shared a deep passion for Psytrance. Their nerdy backgrounds were the key to diving into the world of music production.
After years of shared experiences at parties and festivals, the duo decided to unite their creative ideas during a trip to Goa in 2013, giving birth to Weirdos. The name reflects their belief that the Psytrance scene brings together people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, united by a love for the music and its inherent “weirdness.” After all, we’re all weirdos in our own way.
Musically, Weirdos blend deep, dark sounds with high-energy Hitech beats. They maintain the mystical Forest vibe while adding groovy energy, striking leads, and obsessive sound design. Their music is both danceable and intricate, with a meticulous focus on details. Weirdos combine “ears for music” with a “heart for dance.”
Their first release came in 2014 with Mighty Quinn Records, followed by collaborations with labels like Visionary Shamanic Records, Discovalley Records, and Sonic Loom Records. In late 2019, they joined Parvati Records, bringing their unique sound to the label’s roster.
Weirdos have performed at numerous international parties and festivals, including Atman Festival, Modem Festival, Universo Parallelo Festival, Zuvuya Festival, and Inchala Festival. Their music embodies a global connection – deeply rooted in Psytrance culture with an openness to musical innovation.
